Ever felt like you wanted to be a bird or a monkey and be able to perch high up in the trees and look over the expansive jungle and ocean as far as you can see? This retreat is for people who want something different – to stay in a private cabaña amongst the trees, share family-style meals with new friends, watch the sunset and the stars from a treetop deck, and stroll five minutes to the pristine beaches of Playa Maderas. Our home for the week will be Buena Vista Surf Club, a breathtaking eco-lodge perfect for a week of chilled out comfort in the sun! The resort does offer wifi, but you’ll be encouraged to disconnect your phone and recharge your spirit!

Movement and play are a big part of our programs. Dropping the hats we wear and feeling like kids again brings us back to who we truly are and gives us a chance to look at life with a fresh perspective.
Our daily yoga & fitness classes are accessible and challenging for all, and designed to remind you that you can do anything you set your mind to - especially if you approach it with a sense of humor. You don't need to be a yogi or a fitness buff - you just need to be a human being interested in exploring, playing and growing through movement. If you’d like to dabble in the world of mindfulness and meditation without being too serious about it, or want to learn to stand on your hands or on your head, we've got you there too!
If you’re like us, you spend a lot of your time doing things for other people, meeting deadlines, being places and feeling like you have little choice in the matter.
Well, not here! Retreat days are structured with an array of activities to choose from and complete freedom to do the things that make your soul happy.
We start the day with a Vinyasa Yoga class every morning with Nathania, get our workout on with Gary’s kickass Metabolic Effect workout (30 minute HIIT workouts at your own pace), and we wind down with restorative & yin yoga and Yoga Nidra meditation.
In between, YOu can choose to

Feel empowered as you face your fears with blood-pumping outdoor adventures that take you from “I’m not sure I can” to “OMG I did!”
Build confidence and strength and learn to stand upside down on your head and hands to see things from a different perspective (literally)
Rest and restore with guided Yoga Nidra meditations (also known as Yogic Sleep) that bring you to deep states of mental and physical relaxation
Connect to your inner kid with games and activities that remind you what it’s like to let loose, laugh with abandon and be at ease in your body
Nourish yourself with quiet time to hang on your own, read, enjoy a massage or connect one-on-one with incredible people from all over the world

Fear and stagnation can make us feel paralyzed in life. The best cure for inaction and fear of moving forward is to put ourselves in uncomfortable situations and learn to be ok with the discomfort. Life will throw us curve balls and undesirable circumstances; it’s how we react to those situations that determines our inner peace.
One of our favorite ways step out of the old comfort zone is with outdoor adventures! On this retreat, explore your limits mentally and physically in a safe and encouraging environment with a Volcano Boarding adventure! Hike to the top of a volcano and slide down sitting on a board - a must-try experience! Always wanted to learn how to surf? There’s no better place than Manzano! Enjoy a beginner surf class or hit the waves on your own if you’re a pro. We appreciate that adventure tours aren’t everyone’s jam, so these are optional add-ons and are not included in your retreat package. Registration info will be emailed 30-60 days before the retreat.

7 nights accommodation in a single, double or triple cabana at Buena Vista Surf Club in Playa Maderas, Nicaragua

Transportation & Logistics
Plan to fly into Managua, Nicaragua - Augusto Sandino International Airport (MGA) on February 15th no later than 12:00. The resort is a 2.5 hour drive from the airport.
Shuttle service from the airport to the resort and back (2.5 hours each way) is included in your retreat package provided you land before 12:00 pm.
If you miss the group shuttle, you will be required to make your way to the resort on your own. Please get in touch with us if you’re having trouble finding an itinerary that works and we’ll be happy to help.
Plan to fly out of Managua on February 22nd after 2:00 pm unless you fall in love and stay longer!

Have you had an interest in a yoga or fitness retreat but didn’t want to sit in silence for a week or show up and feel out of place physically?
Have no fear! Our yoga and fitness classes are challenging to all levels and we meet you where you are in your practice and physical abilities. Nathania loves to make yoga playful and accessible no matter how much or how little experience you have. Gary’s workouts are designed for all levels of fitness as well. He likes to say that his grandmother and an Olympic athlete could both get a good workout. If you want to dabble in the world of mindfulness and meditation, without being TOO serious about it, we've got you.

Our adventures span the realm of cave drop-ins of 300ft in Belize to zip lining on the longest line in Mexico to jumping from a 50ft pendulum swing.
